Mulford International is a company with its history in Australia, and its future in Asia.Founded in 1946 in Australia, Mulford Plastics became part of the current group of companies in 1990.
The Alsynite company is older, having been established in Australia in 1932, but was acquired later, in 1995. The Alsynite business was spun off from Laserlite in 1999 when that business was sold to Bayer, and has since expanded to China, Indonesia and in 2008, to India, Manufacturing its proprietary fibreglass roofing products in each country.
The Mulford Plastics business grew into Asia from the late 1990’s, firstly in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, then into Indonesia, China and India.
In 2006 and 2007 the group increased its activity in value-adding by acquiring King Pacific in Hong Kong, and Ludowici Plastics in New Zealand. They became Mulford Plastics Hong Kong and China and Mulford Engineering Plastics.
The holding company, Royalplast, changed its name to Mulford International in 2007.
